Dating back to 1950, this 49mm Matchbox Series No. 1a Diesel Road Roller by Lesney Products is the historic model that launched the entire 1-75 regular wheels lineup. The miniature is finished in factory green paint, showcasing a straight canopy roof, an integrated tan driver, and a textless open underside characteristic of the earliest production run. It features its original heavy red cast-metal rollers on straight, functional axles.
The model is accompanied by its original yellow Moko Lesney script box. It shows expected, minor paint rubbing along the roof edges from past handling, but remains entirely un-restored and structurally complete. A fundamental anchor piece for early Matchbox enthusiasts.
